The RSVP 55+ Volunteer Program of Boone and Greene Counties recruits persons 55 and older to use their skills and experiences to better their community through volunteerism in assisting non-profit, health, education, and governmental entities. We value the knowledge and experience of volunteers.
RSVP began in Boone County in 1987 and Greene County in 2005 and have been sponsored locally by Boone County Hospital since 2009. In addition to volunteer opportunity placements, we administer signature programs adult caregiver respite, in-home visitation and grocery shopping services. RSVP is evidence of the power of volunteerism in our communities.
We are one of 19 Iowa RSVP programs through Senior Corps of the Corporation for National and Community Service. Nationally there are over 627 programs with over 232,000 volunteers.
