RSVP is an invitation to serve and
invest in your community!
RSVP is a nationwide volunteer program under Senior Corps of the Corporation for National & Community Service and sponsored locally by Boone County Hospital.
The RSVP Volunteer Program of Boone and Greene Counties recruits persons 55 and older to use their skills and experiences to better their community through volunteerism in assisting non-profit, health, education, and governmental entities.
When you RSVP, you are helping to improve lives by uniting the caring power of our communities. When you RSVP, you are helping us to tell the story of that caring power. We have a story of RSVP volunteers working at Red Rock Community Action Center taking 612 energy assistance and Thanksgiving basket appointments. We have a story that because of RSVP respite volunteers 100% of fulltime caregivers served through the RSVP Respite Progragm reported a reprieve from their stress of fulltime caregiving responsibilites.
The term RSVP comes from the French expression
"répondez s'il vous plaît", meaning
Please accept our invitation to serve and invest in
your community and be part of a story,
there are a lot more stories to tell.
